At the age of 29, Mandy is diagnosed: Multiple sclerosis with symptoms of spasticity and impaired perception on the left side of the body.
She is initially treated with an inner shoe with a neurological foot orthotic according to Nancy Hilton on both sides. 5 years later she gets her first KAFO for the left leg. After more than 10 years, she is now treated bilateral – with an AFO with a NEURO SWING system ankle joint on her right leg and a KAFO with a NEURO SWING system ankle joint and a NEURO VARIO system knee joint on her left leg. This orthotic treatment allows Mandy to manage her everyday life safely and flexibly again.
